Even in new construction it is important to consult with a Kitchen Designer. Now more than ever it is important to get it right. It is hard for some to envision the potential that their space has. Hiring a designer to assist you in your design decisions will help you better to make the right decisions.
Ask your self “How will I use this space” or in this case “How will I use this kitchen”? We not only have to follow codes and the kitchen triangle, but we must also think about our selves and how we function.
For example if you are the primary cook in your family and your height is barley above 5’ you should be more concern with the function ability of the base cabinets instead of you upper cabinets. Why you may ask. Other than the first level of shelves this person will not be able to reach above that so this person primary use of cabinetry will be the base cabinets. Really thinking about your use in the kitchen this will help you and your designer make the best decisions possible to create a great space.
